Creation process
Following, the process for this fully art directed, coordinated, painted and design private commission.
“SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE”
Full oil painting based on the multimedia Star Wars project of the 90’s.

Here, painting with oils on canvas paper is the background which was later used for every letter of the poster’s title typeface of “Shadows of the Empire”, depicting a planet’s atmosphere and starry sky.

May the Force be with you
Privately commissioned illustration where Yoda, the popular character of Star Wars was required to be the main figure in the composition in the planet of his exile, Dagobah. This composition was done with watercolours, acrylics, pencils and digital painting.

May the Force be with you. An illustration centred on Yoda.
I was commissioned to create an illustration based on Yoda, one of the most influential characters from Star Wars’s universe. The private commissioner wanted it to be this way since it is her favourite character. The idea at the end, was to have the character’s version with is find within the original movies, when he is on the planet Dagobah.

Once the final composition was chosen, the painting process for the final Artwork begun:
1- Passing the chosen composition onto paper.
2- First layer of tones with watercolours.
More and more layers of watercolours + acrylics till it’s finished.

Henry Cavill’s portrait for editorial use, and “The Eradicator”, a character’s study based on the amazing work of Jackson Guice produced for DC comics in the 90s.
Both painted with oils on canvas, in 50 cm. x 40 cm.

& Superman
Such fun in these commissions and personal practice!. The Yoda’s painting was particularly unusual, since it was done with a medium which I don’t usually use often. But nonetheless, it was great to work with such a known and reverenced character as the commissioner wanted. Same goes for Superman of course. An absolutely pleasure to work on this portrait of Henry Cavill for a magazine’s editorial piece, as well as it was for me to work with this fascinating character from the 90s, The Eradicator, when Superman is my favourite comic book’s character. A real pleasure.
